FAQs Music Together
-
You are your child's most important music teacher, no matter how you feel about your singing or dancing skills! Kids learn to love music by watching and imitating their loved ones. When you join in enthusiastically during class and play with musical ideas at home, you give your child the perfect example. To help us keep the focus on music, please wait until after class to chat or use your cell phone. Thanks for creating a wonderful musical environment together!

Children can join in however they like—they don’t have to sit in a circle. They learn by watching, interacting, imitating, playing, and moving. Being part of a musical community helps them naturally develop their musical abilities. Each child’s response is different based on their learning style, age, and personality. Some might follow the teacher right away, while others prefer to watch and absorb, or move around by crawling, running, or dancing. The teacher will guide you to understand your child's unique way of learning so you can support their musical growth both in class and at home. If you have any questions, just ask!
